Terms of Service

Last updated 22 September 2026

These terms cover your use of Amalie, my site for live one-to-one lessons. Creating an account, booking a lesson, or using the classroom means you agree to them. Questions go to amaliejn2004@gmail.com.

The service

I teach online, one student at a time. The site includes a classroom, practice, chat, lesson booking, and an optional Google Calendar connection. I may change or retire a part of the site. A change to these terms updates the date at the top. If you keep using Amalie after that, the updated terms apply.

Accounts

The classroom needs an account. Keep your sign-in to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account. I may close an account that is unused, or that is used in a way these terms do not allow.

Lessons

A time you book is held while it is confirmed, then kept as your lesson. You or I can cancel it from the calendar. Cancelling removes it from the schedule and, when Google Calendar is connected, from the lesson event. The site does not take payment. Any fee for a lesson is agreed between us directly, outside these pages.

Google Calendar

Connecting Google Calendar is optional. You can disconnect it in the app at any time, and you can revoke Amalie from your Google Account. What that connection is allowed to do is described in the Privacy Policy. You confirm that you have the right to connect the Google account you choose.

Acceptable use

Use the classroom for the lessons. Do not try to open another student's materials, interfere with a call, or send anything you do not have the right to share. Do not record the other person on a call unless you have agreed it first. Recording inside the app is switched off.

Materials

Lesson materials I prepare stay mine. You may use them to study. Do not republish them. Messages and work you send stay yours. You let me store them and show them inside the classroom so I can teach you.

Availability and liability

The site is provided as it is. A lesson can be interrupted by a connection problem, and I do not promise that every page will be available all the time. If a lesson fails because of a problem on my side, we will find another time. To the extent Danish law allows, I am not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the site. Nothing here limits liability that Danish law does not allow to be limited.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Denmark, and the Danish courts have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer in the European Union, you keep the mandatory rights of your home country. The Privacy Policy explains how personal information is handled.
